Nancy Ann Edmonds (1845-1915)

Nancy Ann Edmonds was born in Clarke County, Georgia on October 18, 1845. She was the fourth of eleven children born to the marriage of James Powell Edmonds and Rebecca Ann Snow.

The 1850 U.S. Census shows Nancy living with her parents and five of her siblings in Watkinsville, Clarke County, Georgia.

The 1860 U.S. Census shows Nancy living with her parents and seven of her siblings in Dark Corner, Clarke County, Georgia.

Nancy Ann Edmonds married James Johnson Towler circa 1868 in Georgia. James was born in Georgia on October 22, 1830 to the marriage of Abijah and Martha Towler.

The 1870 U.S. Census shows James, Nancy and one son living in Miller County Georgia.

By 1880, the family was living in Blasingames, Walton County, Georgia where James and Nancy would make their home until their deaths in 1907 and 1915, respectively.

James and Nancy Edmonds Towler were the parents of the following children:
Thomas
Susan Emma
Willie
Warren
Mary Levie
Lessie Eula
James Johnson Towler died on January 6, 1907 and Nancy Ann Edmonds Towler died on April 6, 1915.  Both are buried in the Towler Family Cemetery in Social Circle, Walton County, Georgia.

Nancy Ann Edmonds was a sister to my great grandfather, William Newell Edmonds.
